Please Don’t Judge Me

Before you start to judge me, step into my shoes and walk the life l’m living and if you get as far as I am, just maybe you will see how strong I really am.

We find it easy to judge people from the outside because we don’t really know what’s going on on the inside. We’re quick to cast aspersions on people who don’t fit certain molds.

Whenever we see people doing things we think are wrong. We are quick to judge them. However, I have come to realize that it is easier to judge a person if you are not walking in their shoes. It is easier for you to say a person is wrong, or a person is weak or a person acts a certain way if you do not know what they’ve gone through.

There is a saying “before you judge me, I would like you to walk a mile in my shoes. I would like you to take a moment and step into my shoes and walk the life I’m living. And if you get as far as I have gotten to maybe you’d see how strong I really am”.

It is a plea to understand the pain of another, and not judge them for trying to survive.

Everyone should take their time to understand what the other person is going through. It is of no use to judge a person, just because they look different or act differently. It is of no use to stand on the outside and judge a person’s life. When you do not know what they are going through on the inside.

Here’s my advice to you. Do not judge a person if you’ve not walked in their shoes, the best you can do is support them or stay out of their way.
