My husband’s friend accidentally revealed that my husband is cheating on me, and I handled the situation with dignity when I got back at him.

You should have looked at my husband’s expression then!

Amy, a woman in her early 50s, was excited about spending Saturday with her husband, Mark, whom she had been married to for six years. But when he kissed her on the forehead and said he had to go to work because he had lots to do, Amy believed him. He promised to bring home Indian food if he could work from home. However, Amy didn’t realize this was just an excuse.

Mark and Amy had known each other for a long time before they got married. Mark used to date many different girls, but he eventually chose Amy. They seemed to have a good relationship, at least that’s what Amy thought.

Even though Amy wanted to spend time with her husband, she chose to relax with a book and tea instead. While reading, she got a message from Tom, her husband’s best friend. Curious, she listened to the voicemail.

Tom said he’d be late for their double date at Coachella around 2 PM. Amy was puzzled because Mark hadn’t mentioned any double date. She considered ignoring it, thinking Tom might be mistaken, but she had a feeling there was more to it, so she decided to look into it further.

Amy found out that Coachella was an outdoor restaurant with a festival theme. She picked a table where she could see the entrance clearly. As she waited nervously, hoping Mark wouldn’t come or would come alone, she felt sad when she saw him arrive with a beautiful woman in fancy clothes.

Amy watched as Mark sat with Tom and his wife Sasha at their table. They all seemed happy, not noticing Amy. She felt heartbroken, but she knew it wasn’t time to cry – it was time to do something about it.

She asked the waiter to bring the best champagne to Mark’s table. Seeing the tension, the waiter nodded and smiled. Amy took a picture of Mark with the other woman and shared it on Facebook, tagging Mark.

When Mark saw the notification on his phone, he looked shocked and searched for Amy in the restaurant. Amy then asked the waiter for more champagne, wrote a message on a note saying, “To a memorable double date and our divorce, cheers!”, and left gracefully.

A few hours later, when Mark got home, he saw his stuff packed. He tried to say he didn’t mean to cheat, that he was just having fun. But Amy didn’t want to hear his lies. Mark stayed at Tom’s place, and Amy decided it was time to get a divorce.

If you were in Amy’s shoes, what would you do?
