Michael Madsen is speaking out after the death of his son Hudson.

Michael Madsen, star of “Reservoir Dogs” and “Kill Bill,” dealt with his son Hudson’s death in January 2022. Hudson died of a gunshot wound to the head in an apparent suicide, according to the Honolulu city and county examination of the body.

Hudson was 26 at the time of his passing.

The family issued the following statement to Metro to confirm the news “Hudson’s death has broken our hearts and filled us with grief and pain. Everyone who knew and loved him will cherish his light and memory. During this time, we ask for your respect and privacy.”

They asked the media to respect their privacy and did not elaborate at the time.

Following his son’s passing, Madsen issued a statement to the Los Angeles Times.

The actor, who is six four years old, stated, “I’m shocked when my son, whom I just spoke to a few days ago, said he was happy – my last text from him was ‘I love you dad.'”

I did not observe any depressive symptoms. It’s so sad and tragic. He continued, “I’m just trying to understand what happened and make sense of everything.” He wanted to start a family, but he faced the typical financial difficulties that most people face in life. It was mind-boggling because he was contemplating his future. I simply have no idea what took place.

However, Madsen is said to believe that his son struggled after joining the military due to the taunts he received after seeking mental health treatment. From August 2018 to January 2019, Hudson served in Afghanistan at Fort Carson, Colorado.

Hudson and his wife Carlie were married, and their social media accounts indicate that they resided in Hawaii. Madsen claims that his late son’s marriage developed into “strong.”

We sincerely apologize for the loss. Hudson, rest in peace.
