If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say nothin at all

Did your mom ever told you, ‘If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything’? she was right – and talking nicely also applies when you’re talking to yourself, even inside your head – Victoria Moran.

Someone once said, you should raise your words and not your voice. Mothers are experienced with worders. A wife once met a wise man for a magic wand that could make his husband never to raise his voice at her again.

After questions and answers by the wiseman to the lady, the wiseman gave the lady some mentos candy, and he instructed the lady to use each one every time his husband would want to yell at her.

She took the mentos candies, thanked the wiseman and left. And after she had used the candies for a week, the husband was wondering why his wife didn’t exchange words with him for a week, and then started to apologies to the lady, thanking her for making a new leaf.

The lady on the other hand thinking the wand worked, ran back to the wiseman, and thanked him for the wand, while requesting for more. To her surprise, the wiseman informed her that the mentos candy was the regular one at every shop.

He informed her that if she wanted lasting peace in her home, she should always tame her tongue and be graceful when speaking to her husband. Mothers understand the power of the tongue and it is what they use to destroy or keep their homes together.
