All a person needs is support

I have always preferred someone teaching me how to fish, instead of giving me fish.

Life has never been easy, after I lost my parents, and things keep moving from worse to worst.

My uncles were the one catering for our feeding, I was surprised when I asked them to open a trade for me, as I can no longer continue with my education, they refused, and said they will continue feeding I and my younger ones.

I was happy at first about the turnout of events, but when I gave it another thought I knew we could be dependent on him for a very long time.

I knew I was getting any younger, and I needed to create a better future.

I kept pestering them, but no one ever wanted to hear my reasons, they felt I had no reason to make my money as they will be providing them.

I knew sooner or later, they will get tired of doing so, I never saw the need to support me, because of their reasons, which I’m sure that’s not far from malicious attacks and the issues they had with my parents when they were alive.

I didn’t let them determine my life; I needed their support. But I knew I was never getting it anytime soon. I stood up and decided to make a living for myself, my siblings, and the future.

I can say taking five years to finally be a millionaire isn’t bad.

I’m proud of whom I have become, I did without them. When someone refuses to give you their support, you always have to stand up to yourself and make it work, because you can do it.a

  1. This is an encouraging and wonderful story! I didn’t have understanding and (emotional) support growing up. And I’ve always backed down when someone ignored or denigrated my hopes for the future, something I wanted to learn or do, for instance.
I’m very happy that you finally just got up and did what you needed and wanted to do!
