Have you ever experienced those circumstances where you are just at the perfect spot at the right time to see something unexpected?
You probably have experienced many of those situations if you’re a person like me, but it’s likely that nothing you’ve encountered or done can match the bravery of Ron Nessman.
Earlier this week, on Monday, May 1, a shocking video that showed a baby stroller heading toward a busy highway in Hesperia, California became viral. The baby’s caregiver, who is apparently a great aunt, can be seen falling over while trying to chase the stroller and ending up helpless on the ground as it wheels towards tragedy in the heart-stopping video.
Fortunately, Ron from earlier was nearby for a job appointment and he came into help and made one of the saves of this century.
According to reports, Ron lived on the streets for many years before recently moving in with his sister Donna. Since then, he has begun to set himself a goal to obtain job opportunities, and while he headed to a job interview, he saw an emergency.
As soon as Ron noticed the stroller moving toward the busy highway full of cars, he had to make an immediate decision.
Ron told a local news station, “I felt I might get it, and I did.”
“And I’m grateful for that, as I truly would not like to witness what would happen if I was not there.”
Ron voiced his concern for the mother caring for the child and insisted that she did everything in her power to take the stroller.
“She made every effort to stand up.” according to Nessman.
“When I got up to her, both of her knees were bleeding, but she was still in shock and sobbing.”
Ron described the actual rescue to KTLA 5 as follows: “I saw the stroller was heading towards the road and I automatically rushed toward the stroller and dived before it got into the lanes of traffic knowing that there was a baby inside the stroller.”
“I am grateful because I was in the right place at the right time.”
It goes without saying that after being posted to social media, the video of Ron’s bravely save quickly became popular. Although a lot of people found it hard to believe what they were seeing, it was generally agreed that Ron is a hero!

The entire time I watched the video, my heart was in my mouth. It’s a good thing that Ron was there to stop what definitely would have been a genuine tragedy.
