Juanita Fitzgerald, a 93 years old resident of a Florida nursing home, was arrested by police just a few days before her 94th birthday.
She was taken out of the apartment in handcuffs and all of her belongings were left behind by the police.

She was apparently late paying her $161 rent at the time.
After being informed of transfer charges, devastated Juanita Fitzgerald was evicted from her parents’ Florida home for not paying rent and arrested by police.
A police report that was seen at the station says that Ms. Fitzgerald told the officers: I won’t leave this place if you don’t get me out of here.
According to the report, Fitzgerald “deliberately slid from her chair to the floor” when officers attempted to escort her out of the front lobby.
She once removed the glasses from the representative’s face.
Before she was evicted, Juanita had lived at the senior residence since 2011. There are 46 people living there. It is a component of the Ohio-based religious housing nonprofit National Church Residences.
All that she had was gone now, contended Juanita. The fact that the facility would not allow her to return was her primary concern.
I do not possess anyone. She stated, “I told my family in Tennessee not to tell my son anything about what’s going on.”
Additionally, Fitzgerald stated that she attempted to pay the rent, but she refused.
National newspapers carried notices of her arrest two days before his 94th birthday, urging him to assist.
Juanita was fortunate enough to have her $500 bail posted, and she was freed from her cell.
A pensioner was permitted to celebrate her birthday outside of prison. After posting bail, Juanita was taken care of by the Central Florida Coalition for the Homeless and placed in a nearby motel before being permitted to leave.
After the elderly woman was released from prison, the organization wanted to make sure that she would not end up on the streets.
According to B.E. Thompson, a member of the organization’s board, they are collaborating with her to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
However, Juanita continued to decline assistance from social services and government officials.
Karen Twinem, a spokeswoman for National Church Residences, told WKMG that Ms. Fitzgerald said she didn’t pay her rent because she thought she would die soon.
Juanita claimed that she made an offer for half of her properties, but the agency turned her down.
Thankfully, Juanita is now receiving the assistance she requires from a local Florida resident. She has set up a GoFundMe account to raise money for housing.
The Orlando Sentinel reports that Juanita, who was born in Kentucky, values the King James Bible more than any other version.
Another child lives with her in Tennessee as well. She claimed that both come from her first marriage, which ended when she fled at age 17. In 1970, she split up with her second husband.
Fitzgerald uttered, “My God, after what I did.”
