A 16-pound baby made news in 1983, but wait until you see what he looks like now.

In 1983, 24-year-old Patricia Clarke suspected her baby would be big when she became pregnant.

She knew large babies ran in her family since she had already given birth to one. However, she didn’t expect just how big this baby would be.

Patricia gave birth to Kevin Robert Clark, who weighed over 16 pounds. He was the biggest baby ever born at Community Memorial Hospital and possibly in all of New Jersey at that time.

His parents were relieved to see that Kevin was healthy, even though he couldn’t fit into a regular cot and his baby clothes were too small.

His size was obvious right away. He became nationally famous after appearing on shows like “Saturday Night Live” and “Good Morning America.”

He wasn’t done being in the spotlight yet. According to the New York Post, he was 5 feet 7 inches tall by the time he was 12 years old.

By the time he started junior high, he was 6 feet 5 inches tall and kept growing.

“People ask me how tall I am every day,” Kevin told the Post.

“I like to joke that I’m 5-foot-21. When they ask if I play basketball, I ask if they play miniature golf.”

Tom is 40 years old now. He lives with his 6-foot-tall wife and their Great Dane. He used to be a soldier.

He’s used to being taller than most people and handles it with his long stride. Tom is now 6 feet 9 inches tall.
