It was a quiet, warm morning. Veronica had just finished her run in the park and stopped in a small alley to rest. She enjoyed peaceful weekends like this. She was wearing a ponytail, a simple gold necklace, and a sports watch.
Suddenly, she heard loud engines. Three motorcycles stopped in front of her. Three strong men got off and walked toward her. They wore cheap tracksuits, had tattoos, and smirked at her.
One of them stepped closer.
“Hey, beautiful. Out here alone?” he said with a grin.
“Nice phone. Give it to us so it doesn’t get broken.”
Veronica stayed quiet. She looked serious but calm.
Another man walked around her.
“She’s dressed nicely. That watch and necklace look expensive.”
They stood very close, blocking her way.
“There’s no one here to help you,” their leader said. “Just hand everything over.”
“Or what?” Veronica asked calmly.
They laughed and said it would be “unpleasant” if she refused. One of them even reached toward her shoulder.
They thought she was just a weak woman alone after a workout.
But they were wrong.
The leader stepped closer again.
“So, are you giving it to us nicely or not?”
Veronica looked at him calmly. No panic. No fear.
“Do you really think this is a good idea?” she asked quietly.
They laughed at her.
“There’s no one here. Just us,” one of them said.
Veronica suddenly smiled.
“Exactly. Just us.”
One of the men looked confused.
“Why are you smiling?”
“Because you have no idea what you just did,” she replied.
Then two large men walked out from the shadows behind her. They were tall, dressed in black, and looked serious. They were her bodyguards.
The three attackers had no idea that they had just tried to rob the daughter of a very rich man.
One of the bodyguards stepped forward and asked calmly,
“Is there a problem?”
Veronica answered without even turning around,
“Not anymore.”
The attackers’ smiles quickly disappeared.
