It’s unlikely that any of us can truly predict how our actions will turn out. Even if our intentions are good, things often go wrong. Sure, we can try to fix things or laugh about it, but sometimes the outcome is unavoidable.
My husband gave me shower gel for my birthday. I didn’t let him see, but I was really annoyed because we weren’t having any financial problems. I even made sure his business was doing well and we had enough money for him to at least buy me some flowers.
I carefully looked at the gel, even though he knew I hated its smell. I ended up crying and pouring the gel down the toilet. When my husband came home, he was excited and asked if I found it. It turned out he had hidden a ring in the bottle cap as a surprise. So, he had to retrieve it from the toilet himself.
