We all act foolishly when we’re young. After all, a necessary part of maturing is understanding when to refuse something that seems risky.
However, young people are easily swayed by peer pressure and other similar pressures; even the brightest children can be forced or persuaded to participate in actions that could result in serious consequences.
Just ask Tyler Broome’s parents, an 11 year old who tried “the roundabout of death,” a YouTube trend that left him with serious injuries.
Absolutely, the name pretty much tells you everything you need to know, but for Tyler, it wasn’t so much a risky prank as it was a means to prove to his pals just how brave he was.
After being exposed to extremely high gravitational force (G-force), the 11-year-old then suffered injuries that are comparable to those reported by fighter pilots.
The craze “roundabout of death”, in which he took part, involves people sitting in the center of a playground roundabout while the rear wheel of a motorcycle spins it quickly.
After that the incident, Tyler was discovered unconscious next to the roundabout, possibly with brain and visual damage.
Extreme Force
He allegedly experienced G-forces that are typically only experienced by astronauts and pilots.
According to reports, Tyler and a friend have been in a nearby park while they got approached by some older kids who challenged them to a game.
Terrifying Situation
According to the British newspaper The Independent, Tyler’s mother Dawn said, “I don’t recognize my kid; he’s about to have a stroke. The young boy who approached Tyler while he seated down at the roundabout was about 17 years old. Tyler has no idea about him, so they aren’t friends.”
“He parks his motorcycle on the ground and starts the roundabout spinning quickly. When everyone paused, the gang simply dispersed; this is called bullying.”
According to Dawn, the medical personnel were unfamiliar with this kind of injuries and required to conduct study before they could start treating her baby.
He was really looked like the Elephant Man due to how serious of his wounds. They will use it to create a medical report even though they hadn’t seen it before.
“His blood vessels have ruptured, and his eyes seem strange. His brain has totally swollen up. His sight is foggy. You are able to manage a broken arm,but this? He cannot recall either what happened or the details of it.“
Please always remember that children are prone to experimenting with things that adults are unlikely to do when parenting.
Tyler the child and his family are in our hearts and prayers. Share this tale to raise awareness of a game that is highly risky.
