Known as the People’s Princess for her caring and kind nature and her love for everyday people, Lady Di will always be remembered as someone who transformed Britain and the royal family.
She became well-known when she got engaged to Prince Charles, the oldest son of Queen Elizabeth II and the heir to the throne. From then on, she was always in the public eye, with paparazzi constantly following her, which many believe contributed to her tragic death.

Diana was shown sketches of her gown, which were later destroyed to keep them secret.
Charles and Diana received many unique wedding gifts. The Reagans, for example, gave them a handmade porcelain centerpiece and an engraved glass bowl. They also got gloves made from 100-year-old silk and a diamond-and-sapphire watch, among other gifts.
After the wedding, it was revealed that Charles and Diana were related, sharing a common ancestor in Henry VII of the Tudors. They were 16th cousins once removed.
During their honeymoon, a lip reader said the couple joked that it was the perfect time to catch up on sleep.
