Amy Schumer’s son Gene, is recovering from the Respiratory Syncytial Virus, or RSV for short.
During her week as host of Saturday Night Live, the comedian and actress, who has a 1-year-old son with husband Chris Fischer, posted on Instagram that her child was in the hospital on Sunday for RSV.

“It was the hardest week of my life,” Schumer said, in addition to a photo gallery from the SNL set. ” I had to cancel Thursday’s practice when my baby was taken to the emergency room and the hospital with RSV. Everyone should be praised right now, parents are going through it.”

Schumer went on to say that Gene who is now three years old now “home and doing better.”
