Appearance can be very deceitful. Most times what people look like has no connection to what their heart truly portrays.
Most times, we judge people by how gorgeous they look or dress to look good. I have heard people say that he looks generous; generosity never shows in the face or appearance of a man.
We often also forget that when it comes to giving, that what matters isn’t the quantity given out but the quality of the heart giving it out. We all can remember the story of Cain and Abel in the bible.
Again in the bible, when Jesus sat and was watching people giving their offering, the bible recorded that many gave out of their wealth and for people to see and praise them.
These sets of people gave out a lot and people would look at their magnificent appearance and say yes, these people are generous because they have given out a lot.
Jesus wasn’t thrilled about what they did; he knows the heart of men. He sighted a widow, who gave less than these men, she was poor and was dressed in rags.
Jesus then announced to the crowd that the old widow gave the biggest offering. She gave the little she had with all her heart even though it was little.
This clearly proves that a good heart isn’t found by appearance or anything. We shouldn’t judge people wrongly. A rich heart can be seen under a poor coat.
