Courtney Ann Sanford, 34, known as a skilled driver, died unexpectedly on a normal day. While driving, she felt happy when her favorite song, “Happy” by Pharrell Williams, played on the radio. She took a selfie and posted on Facebook, “This song makes me happy!” That moment’s decision led to her death.

Soon after, Courtney’s car crashed into a truck at around 60 km/h. The impact pushed her car into a ditch and then into a tree. Her car caught fire, and she tragically died inside.

When her family was notified, they discovered her last Facebook post, made just before the crash. Police confirmed, “The post was made at 8:33 AM. At 8:34 AM, we received the emergency call.”

Courtney’s tragic death highlights the danger of distracted driving. Her story serves as a strong reminder: “When driving, focus on the road.”
