Rachel, a mother from Tennessee, who works as a cashier at Celina 52 Truck Stop, gave birth to her son, Cash Jamal Buck, on February 17. The unique aspect is that Rachel and her fiancé Paul Buckman are both Caucasian, while their son Cash is African American.
When the parents posted on Facebook about their son’s birth, they said, “Congrats to our cashier Rachel and her fiancé Paul Buckman on their baby Cash Jamal Buckman born Saturday at 6:18pm.”
But when people saw that two white parents had a black baby, they accused Rachel of cheating, not believing Paul was the real dad.
Then Celina 52 Truck Stop said, “Yes, Paul is the father. Rachel has African American DNA which can skip generations and make a child born with darker skin.”
They also mentioned the possibility of jaundice and concluded with, “Please be kind.”
However, there were numerous jokes in the comments section:
“Congratulations!!! I’m sure he looks just like his dad. Where is he?”
“Definitely needs a DNA test; what if they accidentally mixed up the kids in the nursery?”
“I feel sorry for Paul, being tricked like this is really creepy. Hopefully he’ll realize soon.”
Then Rachel shared her own ancestry test results, saying, “To those spreading rumors that I don’t have black DNA, maybe this will clear it up, straight from my ancestry DNA results!!! STOP defaming mine and my fiancé Paul Buckman’s name. He is Lil Cash’s father.”
