One freezing night, a rich man met a destitute elderly person outside. He was stopped by the millionaire and asked, “I see, you’re not cold because you don’t have a winter coat.” The elderly person took a gander at him for quite a while and afterward replied: “No, yet I’m utilized to it.” After being taken aback by the response, the wealthy man addressed him, ” Hold on to me! I’ll get you a thick coat from my house right now to keep you warm at night.”
With a smile on his face, the elderly man assured him that he would remain there and would not leave. The wealthy man entered the house, but he forgot to keep his promise to the elderly man.
He thought of the poor man when he woke up and quickly went outside to find him. Sadly, the elderly man passed away from cold. A letter left by an old man was discovered by a millionaire. “I had the strength to fight the cold when I was wearing thick clothes, but when you promised to help me, I committed to your promises, which take my power to endure. “
THE MORAL: If you cannot keep your promise, you should never, ever promise anything, not even love. It might not have any significance to you, but it might to someone else!
