College singers from BYU’s Vocal Point elevate Josh Groban’s hit, “You Raise Me Up,” to new levels with their acapella performance.

In 1991, BYU students Dave Boyce and Bob Ahlander started the nine-member acapella group BYU Vocal Point. The group quickly became popular on campus, and their first concert sold out.
BYU Vocal Point’s Rise to Acapella Stardom
Since starting out, BYU Vocal Point has won many awards, including finishing fifth in NBC’s The Sing-Off’s third season. In December 2018, they shared on social media that they signed a record deal with Decca Gold, a part of Universal Music Group. Member Jason Bromley said, “We’re ordinary college students doing extraordinary things.”
