A witness shared a new video of the Twin Towers collapsing, 23 years after the tragic event.
The video, uploaded to YouTube by Kei Sugimoto, shows the disaster from a new viewpoint.
Kei said it was filmed on September 11, 2001, from the roof of 64 St Marks Place in New York City using a Sony VX2000 camera with a teleconverter.
He remembered that at first, he thought there was just a fire in the building. But when the second attack happened, he understood what was really going on.

Kei found the video while looking through old boxes.
He worried that some of the tapes might be damaged, but he decided to save and share the one showing the Twin Towers collapsing.
The video is a sad reminder of a day that changed not just America but the whole world.
“This video shows a different view, not seen from the south or east,” one person commented. Soon, many people realized it was truly a rare recording.

“It’s wild that it’s been almost 23 years, and we’re still seeing new footage,” someone on Reddit said.
The video, which has gone viral, shows how important it is to save historical records. “It makes me wonder how much history is hidden in people’s attics or basements, waiting to be found,” another person commented. Honestly, we wonder the same thing.

This newly shared video shows a different view of the tragedy and serves as a reminder for future generations of how big the disaster was and the lasting effects it had.
The 9/11 attack happened when 19 terrorists from Al-Qaeda hijacked four planes and used them as weapons against the United States. Two of the planes hit the World Trade Center in New York City, causing the Twin Towers to collapse. Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives that day.
It was a heartbreaking day for America and its people.
