People notice a concerning thing in a recent picture of 82-year-old Martha Stewart, and everyone is expressing the same worry.

Martha Stewart is widely liked by fans and followers worldwide.

However, she faced criticism for a recent social media post while visiting Greenland, which many are calling insensitive.

People gave a lot of compliments to the 82-year-old earlier this year when she appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue in May. However, her latest Instagram post didn’t receive the same positive response.

On Tuesday, August 29, Stewart shared a picture from her cruise along the east coast of Greenland. The photo, among others, depicts the businesswoman and TV personality enjoying a cocktail, accompanied by a caption.

“Finished the initial boat trip with @swanhelleniccruises to a stunning fjord on Greenland’s east coast. We even got a small iceberg for our cocktails tonight.”

Even though Stewart likely meant her post to be harmless, it quickly angered followers who thought her use of a “small iceberg” for her drink was inappropriate.

Soon, many people in Stewart’s comments criticized her for mentioning a small iceberg while the “ice caps are melting.” One Instagram user advised.

“Martha, the ice caps are melting, don’t put them in your drink.”

Another person commented, “I usually like Martha and her fancy lifestyle with beautiful gardens, homes, and food. But watching wealthy white people drink iceberg cocktails while the planet is in trouble seems a little thoughtless.”

“Because of the profits made by a few thousand people, as the climate gets warmer, billionaires go on vacations to the melting icebergs, grab them, and use them to chill their cocktails. It sounds like something from a dystopian novel. You can’t make this stuff up, lol,” joked another person.

“Global warming and melting ice caps, yet we’re using glacier ice for cocktails? Talk about being insensitive. I’ve been a fan for years, but lately, with my grocery struggles, seeing too much caviar – I’m out,” commented another person.

In May, Stewart created a historic moment by confidently wearing bold swimsuits for the Sports Illustrated cover. At that time, she was 81 years old and even shared the strict wellness routine she followed before the photoshoot.

“I didn’t go hungry, but I skipped bread and pasta for a few months,” Stewart said on the Today show.

“I did Pilates every other day, which was fantastic. I still do it because it’s great. I generally lead a healthy life with a good diet, regular exercise, and taking care of my skin,” Stewart explained.

In her main speech at the Las Vegas event, Stewart talked about how fans reacted to the “genuine” cover.

“People’s reaction was really positive because it made women of all ages think, ‘If she can do it, then I can do it too,'” Stewart mentioned.
