Thousands of mothers are getting ready to send their kids back to school as the end of summer vacation approaches quickly.
There is nothing better than sitting at the dining area while listening to your children talk about what they learnt that day. Education is important component of every child’s development.
The Crustner family will regretfully not get another chance like this.
Payton Crustner, a young girl, posed for a picture to remember her first day of fourth grade only a few short seconds until tragedy struck with grave repercussions.
Before going to her first day of fourth grade, Payton Crustner, 9 years of age was an excited child.
Sadly, her life was taken away out before she could even enter the classroom to learn.
After a terrifying car accident, Payton passed away. She boldly posed for the photo with a sign, just ten minutes before to the incident, according to Houston KHOU TV.
Marcus Wayne Dukes, 18, supposedly turned left and drifted into approaching traffic while driving on the highway, according to the authorities.
It didn’t take long for him to collide with Miranda Michelle Clark’s 32 years old car. Payton, 9 years old, her brother, 16 years old, and an anonymous 3 person and 3 years old kids were riding in Miranda’s backseat.
According to KYTX TV station. Payton had been threw out of the car following the crash. She suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the spot.
Mirada was said to be wearing a seat belt while driving, and Payton was only wearing a lower belt, which was useless at keeping her securely fastened.
Marcus Dukes, Payton’s sibling, and the unknown name 3 years old were all not wearing seatbelts up.
Everyone involved in the crash was sent to the hospital right away, and Payton’s teenage brother is still in serious condition.
Thankfully, the other three people who were hurt were able to leave the hospital with relatively minor wounds.
Since then, a family member has begun a Facebook fundraising campaign, with all proceeds going toward Payton’s burial costs and her brother’s medical care. Nearly $18,000 has been raised so far.
According to the post, “Payton Lynn Crustner, 9 years old, passed away from this world early this morning before her first day of fourth grade. Please continue to keep her entire family in your prayers.”
At this most trying time, our sympathies and prayers are with Payton’s family.
I’m hoping that by telling this story, people will remember the importance of wearing the seat belts. Even though it may seem obvious by this point, some people still disregard it.
Always remember that seat belts, both in the front and back seats, can be the most important safety component in a vehicle.
Spread the word about the importance of this message in the hopes that we can prevent the deaths of more kids in the future.
